These are actually awesome. I can’t help but be bugged/envious/anti Terry Richardson a little bit, but he really is saying something amazing about photography here. Worse than that, his core belief about the goal of a picture is mine too. I think you can get so hung up on his aesthetic and how utterly trendy it is (or was — whatever), but really, with all of our equipment and our tightly edited books and our desperate fear of offending photo editors, who’s the bullshit artist and who’s the real photographer?
